An alien came down from the skies. It woke Terrell up in the middle of the night with a bright blue light. It didn't speak. It used its mind to communicate. It stared at Terrell's groggy eyes. It told him that he must abandon his drumming post with The Liptonians. They needed him. To prevent the destruction of the entire Universe he must play the space-drums in their intergalactic space-rock band. And so he awoke, put on his Slayer t-shirt and stepped into their tractor beam. Rising to the mothership, he wrote this message on a snare drum and left it for us to read:

Dear Liptonians,

I love you. But I have to save the Universe. You will have to find a new drummer. Good luck!

And with that he flew off into space. To complete his mission. We understand. It's the fate of the Universe after all. We will miss Terrell's huge contribution to this band. He has left us with some amazing playing on our in-process album and a hell of a lot of great memories. (If we had a photo montage backed by a power ballad we'd show it now).

January 29 is the first official recording day at Prairie Recording Co. After 10 days there, we will spend a couple months (we like to take our time) toying around with vocals, horns and much else, like spending hours lying on the floor with 3 organs running through 20 effects pedals then routed into 4 different amps...and stuff like that. The fun stuff.

This record will see Matt Peters (The Waking Eyes, Royal Canoe) at the helm with our very own Mike Petkau behind the controls.
